M.V. FOREST. An example of the "Doxford Economy Tramp" built in 1937 by William Doxford & Sons, Sunderland, for Morel Ltd of Cardiff. She was twice bombed during the Second World War. 1951 – Sold to Stoomvaart Maatschappij Wijklijn, Rotterdam (managed by Erhardt & Dekkers), and renamed HAULERWIJK. 1958 – Sold to the East German government (managed by VEB Deutsche Seereederei, Rostock), and renamed THOMAS MÜNTZER. She was rebuilt in 1960/61 to include a high stern accomodation block. 1968 – Sold to Kousion Cia Nav. (V. Haji Ioannou),Famagust, Cyprus and renamed MARITSA 2. 1969 – Sold to Matagari Maritime (A. Matarangas). Limassol, and renamed ORTHON. 1977 – Sold to Sifnos Shipping, Limassol, and renamed AKROPOLIS. She was broken up in Pakistan in 1978.
