A panelled oak chest, 19th century with chesnut inclusions; 4-panelled lid with fielded panels; wrought iron lock plate and strap; 3 single-panelled sides to front with scroll-leaf carving to each panel; rails decorated with reeded scratch-moulding; splayed quarter-pin hinges to lid; oak base boards; pegged morticed and tenon joints; oil and wax finish.
