Banner made and designed by peace activist Ian Campbell, late 1970s. Embroidered with the inscription 'A OES HEDDWCH / Is there peace'. The English inscription was later added by his wife, Thalia Campbell. The design was inspired by the estuary views he had seen as a lifeboat coxwain in Aberdyfi. The banner was used at eisteddfodau, rallies and public meetings.

Thalia Campbell was a member of the Women for Life on Earth group who established the peace camp at Greenham in September 1981.

Large banner, much higher than it is wide; 4 broad hanging loops at upper edge; lined with plain sage green fabric. Banner has yellow lettering spelling out 'A OES HEDDWCH' cut out from yellow fabric and appliquéd onto the ground with machine-stitched zig zag stitches using yellow thread. This lettering is posititoned against a blue sky. Below, above the bottom edge of the banner are the English words 'is there peace' cut from blue fabric and appliquéd onto dark blue ground with machine made zig zag stitches using blue thread. The upper half of the banner is made from blue fabric that changes depth of shade. The fabric is a rep construction with thick wefts and thin warps, resulting in weft-wise ribs. The lower section of the banner is a mountainous landscape with the sea in the foreground. This is made ups of appliquéd sections of different colour fabrics (all machine stitched as above). The inside of the hanging loops is lined with light blue fabric.
