Roman samian bowl
Samian bowl sherds from three different vessels. Dr 29. South Gaul. Three panels survive in upper frieze: two contain complex plant motif; between these a leaping dog to right, with a group of arrowhead leaves beneath it. Panels in upper frieze are divided by vertical wavy lines, with six pointed rosette at the ends, large round beads define both edges of the central moulding, below which the lower frieze contains an undulating scroll design with three leaf forms and a small goose.
