Dillwyn & Co., Cambrian Pottery (1811 - 1817 and 1824 - 1850)
Small plate, earthenware, circular shape with rounded foot-rim, cushion-moulded sides and spreading rim; transfer-printed in brown with the 'Peacock' pattern, to the centre of the well a small vignette showing books, one of which is inscribed 'BOTANY', and a lute leaning against an urn against a garden landscape with trees and flowers and a distant building, wide border to the rim of several small vignettes showing a peacock perched on a high stand against a landscape with a country house and trees, alternating with elaborate rococo floral motifs.
