Doll
‘Montanari’ type doll with poured wax head, upper torso, arms and legs. Shoulder plate threaded to stitched stuffed body through eyelets. Bright blue eyes, fixed. Fingers moulded together with thumbs separate. The doll’s hair is made of real blond hair and reaches to her waist. There is a pink silk bow on top of her head fixed with a pin.
Clothing: White muslin skirt patterned with small white dots (part of the weave). Skirt is trimmed with two wide ruffs- these are made of the same material and the edges are trimmed with pink silk ribbon.
Doll has three petticoats; 1. Linen with 5 stitched horizontal pleats and trimmed with lace 2. White fulled wool 3. Plain white linen.
The doll is also wearing white linen pantaloons with 2 stitched horizontal pleats and trimmed with lace. Her top is made from silk, trimmed with a ruff made of pink silk ribbon, pink silk ribbon bows and lace (on neck opening and at ends of sleeves). The top has short puffed sleeves.
