Baker, Bevans and Irwin, Glamorgan Pottery (1813-1839)
Milk jug, earthenware, standing on a straight-sided oblong foot-rim, oblong body with bulbous sides sloping inwards from a raised ridge around the shoulder, raised lip-rim with a number of raised bands around it and a slightly scalloped edge, wide elongated beak spout, high square-shouldered loop handle with a raised thumb-spur; transfer-printed in black with to the exterior sides of the body two different fishing scenes showing figures with fishing nets and boats by the side of a river with in the background buildings and trees, black bands to the interior and exterior lip-rim and spout, black anthemions and a black dash to the handle.
