Middle Bronze Age bronze palstave
Complete bronze looper palstave with a narrow blade, whose sides are straight and divergent to an unexpanded edge. There is a slight waisting below the stop. A dinsgle medial ridge appears to be wided belwo the sopt, becoming indistict about one third of the way down each balde surface. The stop levels are misaligned indicating a mismatching of the mould parts. The butt is square ended and the loop is complete and narrow in side-section. The excess bronze on the side interior of the loop remains untrimmed.
