Goffering iron
Goffering iron, from Llangynidr, Powys. It has a rounded head with steel stem turned decoratively at regular intervals and flattened and pierced at the handle end.
The iron would have been heated in the fire and inserted into a goffering iron stand, also known as an Italian (or tally iron) to create frills and ruffles.
