Dillwyn & Co., Cambrian Pottery (1811 - 1817 and 1824 - 1850)
Plate, earthenware, circular shape, narrow tapering foot-rim with an incised ring around it, curving sides and spreading rim, raised edge to the well, eight shallow notches and lobes to the rim; transfer-printed in brown with to the centre of the well the inscription, 'DAVID EVANS / ANGEL INN / CARMARTHEN', border to the rim of small scrolls issuing bell flowers interspersed with patterns of stylised flower heads with an arching stippled brown band below.
