Butter dish and cover of soft-paste porcelain with creamy-white translucency; circular with slightly inset base and straight vertical sides; the cover slightly domed, with a pine cone finial encircled by six applied leaves; both parts painted with continuous bands of conventional flowers, including roses and convolvuli.
