S.S. CLAN SINCLAIR, glass negative

Built 1950 by Greenock Shipyard Co., Greenock, for Clan Line Ltd., managed by Cayzer, Irvine & Co., which was taken over by British & Commonwealth Shipping Ltd in 1956. 1960 – Transferred to Springbok Line (formed by British& Commonwealth in 1959), and renamed BOSBOK. 1961 – Springbok Line sold to Safmarine and the ship renamed SOUTH AFRICAN STATESMAN 1966 – Renamed S.A. STATESMAN (same owner). She was broken up in 1972. (wikipedia) (shipslist.com)
