Egg-warmer
Egg warmer, tin-plate, oval boat-shaped form standing on a high foot, to either end of the body two lead handles modelled in the form of swans' heads with foliate-moulded terminals, one handle broken off, to the top two hinged lids with lead pine-cone finials covering an interior removeable basket with a central rod for lifting, the column slots onto a smaller rod fixed inside the base of the outer body; the interior of the egg warmer and basket covered with a cream-coloured japan, the exterior and the central rod covered with a pea-green japan and decorated in gilt with classical borders, the lead handles and finials covered in gilt.
