Bottle
Bottle, of heavy grey-buff earthenware, standing on a rounded tapering foot rim, globular body, tapering at shoulderbelow a raised rib, then flaring towards a narrow mouth with a broad rounded lip rim; ridged loop handle joined to body at raised rib and to the upper portion of the main body; the base largely unglazed, the exterior and visible interior with a rich mahogany brown manganese glaze, liberally streaked with darker brown giving the effect of closely grained polished wood, the glaze lighter around the mouth and neck, growing darker toward the base.
