Roman copper alloy light Polden derivative brooch
Six lines of punched decoration in parallel across the spring cover, and down the upper part of the bow. The pin, chord and axis holding about fifteen turns of the spring are still in situ. The catch-plate is decorated with a comma-shaped cut out motif. There is some slight damage at the foot of the bow but otherwise the piece is complete. Information from site report by G. Lloyd Morgan and J. Webster.
