Answer book
Welsh Museum Answer Book, 1975, received from D. James Jones of Abermeurig, containing notes on death and burial customs in the Nghartheli area of Cardiganshire (See also MS 2102). Answer Books were sent out by the Welsh Folk Museum to individuals across Wales as a way of collecting and documenting information on aspects of folk culture in their areas, including agriculture, crafts, food, customs and dialects. The responses were hand-written in the books. The Answer Books had a similar purpose to the earlier questionnaires sent out in 1937.
