Sampler
LINEN, unbleached, embroidered with coloured silks in cross, herringbone and outline stitches. A representation of Solomon's Temple, the upper half of which is flanked by flowering trees with birds. Across the facade are the words: "And Solomon built the house of the Lord in 7 Yrs I Kin. VI." At the bottom is the inscription: "Hannah Featherson. In her 11th Year April 28. 1830". There is a border of a floral wavy stem.
