Starboard stern view of flush deck Liberty Ship S.S. JANE STOVE at Cardiff Docks.

Built 1943 as EC2-S-C1 Liberty ship SILVESTER GARDINER by New England Shipbuilding Corporation, East Yard South Portland, Maine, with engine by Worthington Pump & Machinery Corp., New Jersey. Owned by US War Shipping Administration (managed by American Export Lines, New York). 1947 – Sold to Lorentzens Skibs-A/S (managed by Lorentzens Rederi A/S, Oslo), and renamed JANE STOVE. 1956 – Sold to Cia. Libano Lda, Costa Rica, and renamed CAPETAN PETROS (managed by L.Nokomis, London). Registration transferred from the Panamanian flag to the Greek flag in 1961. 1965 – Renamed KYRAMARTHA (same owners). She was broken up at Hirao in 1969.
