Dillwyn & Co., Cambrian Pottery (1811 - 1817 and 1824 - 1850)
Plate, earthenware, rounded foot-rim, octagonal shape with curving sides, spreading rim, lobed rim; transfer-printed in puce with the 'Campania' pattern, a Chinese vignette landscape showing a figure seated on an elephant with foliage to one side and temples on islands receding into the distance to the other, broad border to the rim composed of alternating panels of Chinese landscapes with buildings and of floral motifs, against a stipled puce ground.
