Shoe
Pair of men's leather laced up ankle boots, 1980s. Worn by a member of the South Wales Basset Hounds. Six pairs of metal hexagonal-shaped eyelets for laces. Laces are brown cotton braid - ends are coated with a stiffening substance to facilitate threading and prevent unravelling. Upper edge has inner facing of coated fabric (coating = yellow leather-effect synthetic material). Insole of brown leather-effect synthetic material. Vamp has fabric lining (probably synthetic/cotton mix). Black plastic sole. All stitches using cellulosic thread, Z-twist.
