M.V. FLYING IRISHMAN (391 Grt.). Built in 1932 by N.V Industrieele Maatschappij De Noord at Alblasserdam, Netherlands (yard no. 494). Her owners were N.V Motor Zeevaart Maatschappij 'Mozem', of Rotterdam, her managers being N.V. W.H. James & Co.'s Scheepvaart- & Handelsmaatschappij. In 1938, the ship was renamed TROMP, when J. Vermaas' Scheepvaart Bedrijf became managers. In 1940, she was transferred to Reederij 'De Noord'. On 8 December 1946, she struck a mine south off Langeland and went down.
