Porringer and cover
Porringer, pale cream-coloured earthenware with a soft greenish-yellow tinge to the glaze, standing on a short cylindrical foot-rim, rounded curving sides, to either side of the body twin horizontal loop handles with impressed flower heads at the terminals, round domed cover with to the top a loop handle with impressed flower heads at the terminals, engine-turned banding around the exterior lip-rim of the porringer and the rim of the cover; the exterior body of the porringer and the top of the cover marbled under the glaze with shades of brown and yellow, the banded borders overpainted with a wash of green enamel, the handles touched with washes of green enamel. The body of the porringer broken and repaired.
