Teapot
Teapot, oblong, the four sides slightly convex, with concave shoulders, standing on four ball feet. Applied with simple curved spout and a angular metal handle issues from two metal sockets. The hinged lid is domed and surmounted by an oval finial. Dark chocolate finial, decorated with a continuous band of intersecting circles round the shoulder, guilloche round the base and wavy lines, painted to effect in gold. The lid with star in gold radiating from the finial, varnished and crazed. Black japan to handle and spout.
