Slate rubbish wagons, film slide
Collection of slides forming lecture "Rails in the Slate Industry" by D.R. Geering, UMIST 3rd year Mechanical Engineering Projects, c.1975 (copy of lecture notes in related material).
The variation in wagon sizes and the remains of some end-tipping wagons on the left. They were not successful as they tended to follow the rubbish to the bottom of the tips.
