Jug, pearlware, standing on a rounded slightly spreading foot-rim, globular body, cylindrical neck, plain beak spout, angular scrolled handle; transfer-printed in black and in-filled in polychrome enamels with to either side of the exterior body a large ovoid panel decorated with a chinoiserie-style scene showing four figures in a garden setting with a house and flowering tree to one side and a mountainous landscape in the background, a chocolate band around the shoulder, around the exterior lip-rim and spout an orange band between two chocolate bands, the handle edged in chocolate.
