Jug, earthenware, standing on a rounded spreading foot-rim, globular body, cylindrical neck, plain beak spout, angular scrolled handle; transfer-printed in brown with to the exterior sides of the jug a hunting scene showing two figures with guns and dogs against a background of shrubs and trees, the exterior neck printed with to one side a scene showing hounds coursing a hare, and to the other side a scene showing a hound chasing a fox, the transfer-printed areas protected by a resist and the exterior of the jug covered with silver lustre, white bands around the lower body and shoulder, a white stripe to the handle, a silver lustre band around the interior lip-rim and spout. One side of the jug broken and repaired.
