RWF officers crimson shoulder sash
Made from wide red Petersham ribbon (W=9.8cm); held together with a 3.4cm wide ring of crocheted material of the same colour. 20cm long, fringed braid has been stitched to both ends. Braided section is 1.8cm wide. Each strand of the fringe is 3-ply, Z-twist. The ends are knotted 5cm above the lower edge.
5 circular adhesive labels are attached to sash Ø=0.8cm. These have been inscribed with blue biro: '1768D'. It is not clear what the inscription relates to, though the same number is repeated on a paper lable which is attached to the sash.
