Roman copper alloy T shaped brooch
T-shaped brooch with short tubular wings and spring, probably of Hull type 144 (Hattatt 1985, 96 no. 410). Plain crest in middle of head. Upper part of the bow decorated by a small lozenge shaped stud and serrations down the sides. Also faint traces of possible decoration between lines of serration, two rows of three small triangles on line with the serrated edge which could have held enamel. Foot knob is small, protruding only slightly forward of the line of the leg. Catchplate is placed to one side of the leg. Pin and most of spring missing. Surface is poor state of preservation.
