Fragment at squared end of a plank or possibly part of a roofing-shingle) but without peg- or nail-hole, and perhaps rather thick for the purpose). The board has been split (not sawn) radially to the bole, so that medullary rays lie in its plane; some axe-trimming to flats, but no tool-marks to neatly-cut edges.
