Cup, cabinet and saucer
Cabinet cup and saucer of soft-paste porcelain, the cup standing on a rounded incised foot rim, with straight sides flaring to end in an everted lip rim; handle looped high above the lip rim with upper and lower terminals in the form of serpents heads with central spur in the form of a tail; the saucer, standing on a straight sided foot rim with rounded spreading sides; the cup painted with a selection of wild and garden flowers, including pink garden roses, a purple and yellow tulip, a red hollyhock, wild strawberries and forget-me-nots, the interior of the lip rim with a geometric border of dark green triangles interspersed with gilded triangles with circle and line motif with gilt scroll and dot pattern beneath, gilt band to foot rim and lip rim and foliate gilding to handle; the saucer painted with a selection of wild and garden flowers including pink garden roses, buttercups, vetch, a red poppy and honeysuckle, broad gilt band to rim.
