Part of the Edward Lovett collection of dolls

Stuffed rag doll with painted features, stitched nose and mouth. Arms are thin strips of rolled cotton. Wearing dark gold silk long sleeved blouse. Remnants of light green cuffs at right wrist. With black chiffon ruffle down front and round neck. Long, pale grey-blue muslin skirt, with fullness at back, wide dark blue sash. White undershirt with faded dark pattern. Gathered piece of black material stitched to head as 'hair'. Flat cap, matching the skirt, has trim of black chiffon with red and pale green scraps.
