Plate, buff coloured earthenware, circular shape, flat base, spreading sides with shallow well and broad rim; covered all over with a white tin glaze with a slightly pink tinge to it, to one side of the rim spreading down onto the well a design painted in blue consisting of the inscription "C / W M / 1693", enclosed within an elaborate cartouche composed of to either side two dragon supports with a mask of a human face at the bottom, spreading down from this a series of looping festoons with tassels, a coronet above the inscription, the plate cracked several times and repaired, slight plaster restoration to the rim.
