Waistcoat
Child's blue satin suit embroidered (waistcoat and breeches), 18th century. With pink flowers and trimmed with lace. The long sleeves are made from coarse white tabby woven fabric. Only one cuff still attached to left sleeve. No cuff on other side. Only remains of stitching threads survive at end of right sleeve. Cuffs made from same blue brocaded fabric as main body of waistcoat.Worn by a member of the Morgan family of Tredegar House, near Newport.
