Roman pottery lamp
Roman oil lamp. Buff/brick red clay with the remains of an orange/brown slip. Round body lamp with a central filling hole, in the middle of a rosette design discus. Just in front of the discus is encircled by twin grooved lines, an attached handle is not straight, possibly due to the two pieces of moulded clay not fitting together properly. The base is very worn and has a small section missing.
