Red ‘LgbtLabour’ t-shirt worn by Hannah Blythyn outside the Houses of Parliament on the day that the Equal Marriage Bill passed through the House of Lords, 15 July 2013.
She stated that “As chair of LGBT Labour, I campaigned on a range of LGBT+ rights, from ending discrimination in goods and services to equal marriage. I was part of the campaign for equal marriage not for me but because it was the right thing to do for our community and for equality and I was proud to be part of a movement for change.”
Hannah Blythyn MS, is a politician who is currently (2023) Deputy Minister for Social Partnership. She is a lesbian and was one of only three openly gay Members of the Welsh Parliament upon her election in 2016.
