Sucrier with cover
Sucrier, hard-paste porcelain, standing on a short cylindrical foot-rim, rounded curving sides, to either side of the body twin twisted vertical loop handles with foliate-moulding to the upper and lower terminals, round domed cover with to the top a finial modelled in the form of an apple with a single leaf, the tip of which has broken off; finely painting in polychrome enamels with to either side of the exterior body of the sucrier a large spray of naturalistic flowers, further sprays and sprigs of naturalistic flowers to the top of the cover, to the interor and exterior of the sucrier the occasional very small leaf sprig in green, the handles picked out in puce, gilt bands around the exterior lip-rim of the sucrier and the rim of the cover, the apple finial painted in red, yellow and green. The cover and finial broken and repaired.
