Figure elderly and fat, in contemporary dress, largely in underglaze black, base entirely black apart form narrow curving name plaque, black shoes with gilt buckle, white stockings, black knee breeches, waistcoat and coat, white shirt showing at neck and between waistciat and breeches, grey hair, face flesh tinted, hands white. Standing with left leg against white support, left hand in waistcoat pocket, right hand in breeches pocket.
