Jug
Jug, pinky grey salt-glaze stoneware, partly decorated in underglaze blue and manganese, rounded foot in pewter mount, short stem and ovoid body, the front moulded with a circular reticulated medallion comprising a pierced rosette within an 11 pointed star and a circle of beaded florets, vertical bands of lion masks, edged with triangular tongues containing trefoils on either side, tall ribbed neck with a bearded spout mask, strap handle with a rolled terminal, shallow pewter cover, hinged, with scroll thumbpiece.
