Jug
Jug, of unglazed buff earthenware, standing on a spreading foot, bulbous lower body, the sides flaring broadly toward the waist, a ribbed band at waist, then the upper sides shelving sharply toward the neck, the neck, in the form of a mug, rounded sides, inverted toward lip rim; simple vertical loop handle; the body stamped and embossed with rosettes of radiating dots and petals and with lozenge shapes, all with a background of small embossed circles; the foot rim perforated with circular holes, ribbed banding to waist and shoulder, incised banding below lip rim, the neck also with five indented floral motifs in a diamond configuration.
