Pot-lid
Pot-lid, earthenware, circular shape with cylindrical flange and convex top; the upperside of the lid decorated with an underglaze polychrome transfer-print of 'Uncle Toby', showing a male figure with a walking stick and a pipe leering at a female figure sitting besides him on a bench in a wooden room that appears to be a summer house with flowers to one side, around the bottom ofthe print is the inscription "UNCLE TOBY", the print extends right to the edges of the lid and is enclosed by a narrow circular dotted border which is underneath the lip of the lid. The glaze crazed.
