Patchwork quilt
Pink and white patchwork quilt, made to commemorate the centenary of the English Baptist Chapel in Pontypridd in 1910. Five panels of white and pink thread embroidery. Central panel with inscription 'Baptist Centenary Pontypridd 1910' embroidered in stem and chain stitch. Top right panel shows the chapel in 1810. Top left panel shows the chapel as rebuilt in 1883. Bottom left shows rocking stones of Pontypridd. Bottom right shows two bridges of Pontypridd, first built in 1750, the second in 1798. Members paid 6d to have their signatures embroidered on the small pieces of pink material sewn together. Motifs of flowers and leaks between the signatures.
