Cup and saucer
Cup and saucer, bone china, highly translucent white body, the saucer with a foot ring and without a defined well, the cup with an inset base, rounded sides and a simple handle with single scrolling thumb rest; the saucer and cup are decorated with a powdered ground in a lilac colour, with an elaborate Classical Revival pattern gilded and in reserve, featuring urns and stylised acanthus scrolls, the handle of the cup with a double repeat of a stylised leaf, plain bands of gilding at the cup rim, interior rim, foot and bordering the ground colour and at the rim, well and bordering the ground colour.
