Albert Medal, bronze, presented to Rees Thomas
Albert Medal, Land, Second Class (No. 34). Bronze Albert Medal, oval in shape with inverted 'A' and 'V' in centre with red enamel surround, around which words 'FOR GALLANTRY IN SAVING LIFE ON LAND' inside a garter surmounted by a queen's crown with loop suspension and a crimson and white silk ribbon. In original red box with inscription in gold letters stamped on top of cover.
Presented to Rees Thomas, Collier, for saving life at Tynewydd Colliery, April 1877.
