Swatch of tweed
Swatches of tweed bound inside a rectangular shaped book covered in green imitation leather (coated fabric). The front cover is decorated with a gold printed border, the company stamp (LB&DExeter) and the name of the type of fabrics (Dandy tweeds fine worsteds). There is also a paper sticky label adhered to the front cover which reads 'All sold' The tops of the swatches appear to have been embedded in adhesive. On the end of the binding is a hanging loop made from red, yellow and green twisted rope.
Each fabric has a rectangular shaped green label adhered to the upper right corner, the first one reads 'Dandy 7321' and has the symbol for pure new wool in the bottom right corner. The following swatches has consecutive numbers till 7345.
The tweeds consist of a selection of stripes and checks in blues, browns and greys, the exposed edges are 'pinked' to prevent fraying. Some swatches have an additional label which reads ' Cut One Way' Swatch number 7343 and 7345 have pieces missing.
