Identified by Dr Roger Jacobi, Natural History Museum September 2005 as cf. Megaloceros giganteus right astragalus. The previous identification by Dr Katharine Scott was Megaloceris giganteus right astragalus.

Notes: Trench 2 Spit 8 Roger Jacobi September 2005 notes: Note on 'spit plan' for Trench 2 Spit 10 has ' ... 100 & 102 found under large stone spit 8 not 10 ...' ? this might indicate a suspicion that it was displaced downwards. Find list gives as: '102 LL[sic]B 8 Easter 5 from basket. Markings on it appears 'erased' Clearly there are problems with specimen.
