Iron Age iron involuted brooch
Nearly complete iron involuted brooch of Stead's group F (Stead, 1991) or Hull and Hawkes group 2Cb (Hull & Hawkes, 1987). The mock-spring is formed from three cricular plates oringinally secured by a cylinder rivet. The foot touches, but does not join the bow and is expanded to a diamond shape.
