Model of Gorsedd
Plywood model of Hirlas Horn or 'Corn Hirlas' which is a great drinking horn supported by a dragon and sits on a stand - part of the Regalia of the Gorsedd of the Bards used in ceremonies. The model has been shaped of thin cut plywood and painted on both sides in gold and brown paint; the stand has been left in bare plywood.
Part of a model of the 1914 Gorsedd of the Bards. Made by the Vale of Clwyd Toy Factory in Trefnant. The company provided employment for wounded soldiers during and after the First World War. As a result of the outbreak of war, the Bangor National Eisteddfod of 1914 was postponed until 1915.
