Teapot, earthenware, standing on a short cylindrical foot-rim, globular body, short cylindrical neck, plain curving spout, plain loop handle, round domed cover, with to the top of the cover a knob-shaped finial with a pierced steam hole through it; painted in high temperature colours with around the exterior of the body a design of a looping orange ribbon intertwined with a long brown stem from which issues green and brown stylized foliage, to the top of each loop of the ribbon a blue and brown circular motif, the same design repeated around the sides of the cover, brown bands around the foot-rim, shoulder, the rim and the centre of the cover, a foliate sprig to the underside of the spout, a brown edge to the lip of the spout, a brown anthemion to the handle, short brown radiating lines around the top of the finial.
