Bowl, glazed earthenware, open bowl with plain, rounded rim, rounded ogee body profile, standing on a low pedestal foot with raised base; there is a bluish white glaze over the entire surface, crudely hand-painted inverted scallops at the exterior rim in underglaze blue, around the circumference of the body are crudely painted, large dots in underglaze red-purple paint with stylised, eight-petal flowers with dots at their centre in relief, alternating with stylised sprigs of leaves in underglaze green; there is evidence of scorch damage around the lower body and base, in the form of patches of medium-brown discolouration, some cracks and specks of a black residue over the interior and exterior surfaces.
