'Cymru' pink Welsh Dragon flag.

Printed design of pink Welsh dragon, outlined in black, against a background of horizontal bands of pink, white and green (top to bottom). Inscription 'CYMRU' in white capitals in centre of pink band (unprinted = showing white ground fabric). Pink band is narrow compared to the green and white bands. Width of pink: 14.3cm, width of white: 37cm, width of green: 39cm. Made from finely woven synthetic tabby fabric, using floss yarns (c. 28yarns per cm). Edges folded over and double-turnback stitched in place with a double-seam of machine stitches using white thread. Left edge bound in white synthetic fabric with brass eyelets at top and bottom (Ø 2cm outside edge); edges turned back and stitched with double-seam of machine stitches using white thread. Top and bottom edges finished with overlocker stitches using synthetic thread. Held against the light, the selvage of the fabric can be seen inside the white binding: one can see the edge of the printed area and then the edge of the fabric itself. Inside of the turn-back along the upper edge of the flag one can detect an area of darker print - presumably this is the beginning of the next pattern repeat of the green band of the design.
